ApiFix™ it has been designed to fill a crucial gap in the approach of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (EIA), offering a viable alternative to both the use of corsets as to spinal fusion surgery in selected patients.

This procedure is characterized by less invasiveusing only three pedicle screws and a posterior approach unilateral, familiar to surgeons. This technique is less invasive than spinal fusion and simpler than other methods without fusion that require an anterior approach.

The exclusive approach ApiFix™ lets consider a less invasive option, before moving towards a spinal fusion definitive, especially in cases where the corsets have not achieved the expected results. The system MID-C acts as a “internal corset”, incorporating joints poly-axial, which preserve the movement and a mechanism of rod unidirectional self-adjusting, patented, which facilitates a postoperative correction progressive with the time. In addition, the system is removable.

ApiFix™ it offers a correction predictablesince the greater part of the curve correction achieved during the procedure of indexing. Your rod self-adjusting adapts to the later growth, allowing a continuous improvement after the surgery.

Thanks to its innovative design, which combines joints poly-axial with a rod self-adjusting, ApiFix™ contributes to preserving motion of the column, something that is not possible with the implant systems are rigid.
