During the 12th and 13th of February, part of our Diabetes team participated in the TWENTY-first Camp of Therapeutic Education of N. A. Day in the city of Rio Cuarto.
The meeting, aimed at children and young people between the ages of 3 and 16 years, was solidified once more as a fundamental space of learning, support and containment.
This year, under the theme “Diabetes from the emotional intelligence to artificial intelligence”, we work on the integration of technology with the management of emotions, having, as one of the pillars of the training in counting carbohydrates.
To promote significant learning, these contents were developed through dynamic and recreational games, allowing both children and parents to practice the calculation of servings in a safe environment and fun.
We are convinced that the game is the best vehicle for therapeutic education, because it transforms the treatment in a skill everyday and manageable.
