Description
The GS BIO ALIF (Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion) interbody cell was designed to correct mechanical deformation of the vertebral disc and restore the height of the intervertebral space. The cell allows the stability of the affected segment until a spinal arthrodesis or interbody fusion is obtained. Combined with posterior fixation, a 360º fusion is obtained. Its characteristic rounded tip profile in its front area makes placement easier. It also has screws with Stand Alone-type converging angles and a surface texture to prevent pull out and guarantee fixation. This device/box/cell features 8° and 12° lordotic alternatives.
In addition, the design of its internal cavity gives you the ability to accommodate a large volume of bone filler, which favors the consolidation or arthrodesis. Likewise, their markers offer the possibility of position control using radiological images.
It is indicated for degenerative disc disease and other intervertebral disc disorders. The surgical set consists of dedicated instrumentation and multiple size options to ensure adaptation to each patient's anatomy. It is available in two material options: trabecular titanium and PEEK OPTIMA®. Both materials offer excellent biocompatibility.
