That is the campaign that we did from July to November next to Institute, Athens, Tala Rugby Club and Foundation Caecus Lab that combined environmental sustainability and social commitment. More precisely, we were collecting technology to transform it into new uses.
Thanks to this campaign, we were able to reduce the environmental impact. We receive 1.5 tonnes of obsolete technology, avoiding that these materials reach to places where they could cause environmental contamination. In addition, we reuse the technology donating cell, white canes for the blind, desktop computers and notebooks. We were also able to have a positive impact in more than 30 families, reducing the digital divide in our community and promote equality of access to technology.
We are deeply grateful to those who took part of this proposal. We'll still be working on similar campaigns with the aim of expanding the social and environmental impact of our actions!
